Skills 4 Life Support Worker Vacancy
Based: Pitsea, Basildon, Billericay & Brentwood, Essex
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (possible job share)
Term time: 5 days – Tuesday to to Saturday
School Holidays: 5 days – Monday to Friday
There is some flexibility to the above which can be discussed at the interview.
Salary: £23,810 (to be reviewed in April 2026)
Job purpose: BOSP’s Skills 4 Life programme delivers fun bespoke small group activities for young people with learning disabilities, aged 18-25 years. Most days include exciting community outings designed to help the young people improve their confidence, communication, physical and life skills to improve their well-being and enable them to have greater independence and control over their lives.
To work on a one-to-one or small group basis, supporting children and young people aged 4 to 25 years with disabilities, at hall based play and leisure sessions on Saturdays or during School holidays.
Training and career opportunities are available to the right candidates. Employment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and suitable references.

Corporate/Business Relationships Fundraiser
An opportunity has arisen to join BOSP (Brighter Opportunities for Special People) as our Corporate Relationships Fundraiser, to help raise awareness of our work. We are looking for a talented and caring part-time person to join our friendly team in Basildon.
Based: Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, Basildon
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (days and times to be agreed)
Job purpose: As we head into BOSP’s 35th anniversary year, this is an exciting opportunity to build on BOSP’s outstanding reputation in the community, by creating and leading a successful new corporate fundraising programme. This varied role requires a warm and influential communicator with the ability to engage and develop relationships with a wide range of supporters, from sole traders and local organisations to multinational companies, to grow income from the business community. You will raise funds through seeking and managing charity of the year adoptions, company sponsorship, employee fundraising, payroll giving and corporate giving, raising BOSP’s profile and meeting agreed goals.
