Day Opportunities - Skills 4 Life
“Attending sessions gives my son a chance to socialise with his peers, doing things that others may take for granted, such as going out to lunch and going bowling. It can be isolating to attend special provision as friends and classmates don’t necessarily live close by. But going to BOSP means he can spend time with people his own age and develop life skills and have loads of fun!”

Areas of Development - Learning Outcomes
BOSP’s Skills 4 Life weekly timetable is meticulously planned to ensure all activities incorporate the following areas of development: Communication & Interaction; Social Understanding & Relationships; Sensory Processing; Interests, Routines & Processing; Emotional Understanding & Self Awareness; Learning Engagement; Healthy Living; Independence & Community Participation; Money Handling and Budgeting.
Each activity allows the young people to develop skills dependent on the particular activity. Every young person who attends Skills 4 Life builds a scrapbook with photographs of all the activities they have taken part in.
The developments and achievements of the young people are recorded in their individual scrapbooks and their outcomes are logged onto our outcome system on our bespoke database. This allows us to track the young people’s development, skills and achievements.
At the end of each term, families will receive an End of Term Report celebrating their young person’s achievements during that period. This is wonderful way to round up the term.
Please see the posters below for more information about our Skills 4 Life Service.

NB. Transition - We recommend that you start to consider transition to post 18 services when your young person reaches 15/16 years of age due to the lengthy assessment/social care process.
